Join Baltimore Education Research Consortium (BERC) for Donuts with BERC, an informal gathering to share education-related research. Laura Genello of Great Kids Farm and Lisa Nehring, PhD Candidate in the JHU School of Education, will be presenting Take it Outside: Research and Recommendations for Getting City Schools Students Outdoors. They will share information gathered from a year-long focus group comprised of Baltimore City Schools educators, a survey completed by City Schools staff, and best practices within the field of outdoor education. The gathering will be at City Schools headquarters (200 E. North Ave.), Room 301 from 3-4pm, with light refreshments. BERC is a research practice-partnership between institutions of higher education in Maryland, City Schools, organizations that serve families and children in Baltimore City, and other civic and community partners.
