A seed is small, but it carries worlds of potential. It is not yet a forest, a field, a flower, not yet a medicine, a meal, or a movement; however, it hints at what might become possible if cultivated. For 2026-2027, the Ecological Design Collective is cultivating the theme Seeds of Healing.
After a year of thinking with Antidotes to Toxicity, we turn now toward what might grow after, within, and against toxic conditions. If an antidote interrupts harm, this year’s theme gathers up those efforts and potentials of healing after that harm. We hope you’ll join us for an informal happy hour where we can ‘seed’ new ideas, cultivate community, and think through ways we might bring this theme to life over the next year. We will meet together at True Chesapeake Oyster Company, a restaurant and oyster farm that embodies the idea of how small ‘seeds’ (oyster spat) can create large impacts- in this case, helping to filter and clean the waters of our beloved bay.
If you’re new to the EDC, please consider joining! This is the perfect time to learn about what we do and where you can plug in!
Time: 5-7 PM
Location: True Chesapeake Oyster Co.
