Online Writing and Meditation workshop
Gather online with Juanita Rockwell and Marcy Vaughn for a brief meditation followed by a writing prompt and community writing session to explore the theme of interdependence together. We’ll also share some ways you can bring your words to life in your own communities, if you can’t join us in Baltimore for the Art Builds or the Parade.
No experience in writing or meditation is needed, all are welcome.

Gather in-person to write AND transform your words into pocket zines, wearable art, hand fans and kites! We’ll explore various writing prompts and building possibilities together to get ready for the Baltimore Interdependence Day Parade on July 4.

The Baltimore Interdependence Day Parade, taking place on the morning of July 4th, is a part of “We the People,” a nationwide movement of artists who are staking a claim to a brighter, more democratic future, in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. We invite folks to join us to show what democracy and interdependence look like, and exactly what we mean when we say, “We the People!” ALL ARE WELCOME!!
